A little family get-away...

We have had a great vacation to the zoo this past week. We stayed in a children's hotel where the kids had a great time playing in the playroom, swimming in the pool and dancing in the children's disco.

We have also had a visit from a good friend (Sabine) from Frank's past. She lives in the states, and is visiting with her four children. She has stayed with us for the past 3 days, and as you can see, David and her daughter Andrea have become kissing buddies. It's rather adorable.

David and Andrea (Bessie) This is Michael and two of Sabine's kids playing on the statues in the forest above Bergen.
David got to feed the giraffe at the Zoo in Kristiansand. He was thrilled!

There is a fabulous petting zoo in the middle of the park. The kids had a great time petting and chasing the animals. There were many baby pigs and goats.

This is the pirate boat (in the background) that goes around the park/Zoo we visited. The kids are crazy about pirates and pirate boats right now. They wanted to ride again and again.
There is a tall ship race that comes through Bergen every three years. We visited downtown yesterday and there are ships like this lining the whole harbour. The festivities are great!
The boys and I are both starting school this week. I am really excited to begin my masters program, but it's always a bit intimidating to start something new. The boys will be returning to the barnepark they attended last year. Frank had his last days of vacation time this week, so he will start to travel more soon. I will also begin in the choir in the next couple of weeks. Life gets busy, but Frank and I always seem to find time to have some fun with our boys.
